Mungret College Golf Outing 2009

Glasson Golf Club, Athlone hosted this years golf outing where we had an excellent turnout. The competition was won by Paul Malone with a score of 42 pts. The rest of us played on a different course!!

In close second was Ciaran Smyth with another good score of 39pts. Third was occupied by John Connolly with 34 pts.

Roger Fitzgerald our President hosted the event and the golf competition was followed by a dinner in the clubhouse where 21 past pupils attended. We changed the event this year in order to accomodate the very successful annual dinner hosted in the Royal Yacht Club in May. Nevertheless this informal gathering went off very well and our appreciation has to be given to John Maher and Harvey Pitt who traveled over from the United States.

Festivities continued well into the early hours and a large number of the group stayed overnight.

Attached are some photos of the occasion and you can view these here.

We are also opening up a new photo gallery on the site so that colleagues can view photos from both the annual dinner and the golf outing.

We will be in touch in the new year with plans for our outings in 2010.
