35th ANNIVERSARY DINNER

To All Alumni,

CECIL NAUGHTON, President of the Union, invites you to a special 35th Anniversary Dinner, on Saturday the 16th May 2009 at 6.30pm at the Royal Irish Yacht Club in Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin. It is thirty five years since the school closed it doors in 1974. The dinner shall be preceded by the AGM at 7.00pm ; Reception at 7.30pm.: Dress : Black Tie preferred*.

There will be no formal golf outing preceding the Annual Dinner, this year. An outing may be arranged in the autumn and news of this will be posted on the website.

The organizing committee is very sensitive to the straitened economic times in which we live. The five course gala dinner in the Royal Irish Yacht Club is terrific value at €50. For those who require accommodation we have negotiated a very competitive rate of €57.50 per person sharing, including full Irish breakfast, at the recently magnificently restored 4 star Royal Marine Hotel in Dun Laoghaire. Single accommodation €105. To avail of these rates, please make your own booking with the hotel (telephone 01-230 0030) and mention that you will be attending the Mungret Dinner in the Royal Irish Yacht Club. To get a flavour of these splendid venues do visit the web sites www.riyc.ie and www.royalmarine.ie.

Attendance at the dinner will be limited to 98 people which is the capacity of the club dining room. Based on our previous experience of gala dinners held in Dublin and in the College, demand will exceed this. Please book early to avoid disappointment. Reservations allocated on a strict basis of full subscription received. Could you kindly reserve your place and send a cheque to either of the following: –
