So, a fine day for our golf producing some popular prize winners…

Congratulations to Harry on his fine winning score.

Just pipped our own Stewart, only one point away from glory..

Such a pity, talk about ‘ Tales of the unexpected ‘  Imagine a back to back victory for the Roche family. You couldn’t script it and with the few years we have left,  we wouldn’t hear the end of it. THE ROCHE DYNASTY.

Well done Stewart.

Outgoing President Frank Wall took third place, Frank featured also last season. At this juncture may I echo what the room demonstrated in their acclamations for his year of office.

The man who stopped the All Blacks at Thomond  Park in ‘78, he who

stuffed Stu Wilson and ensured a famous defeat of ‘The Greats’ by the REAL GREATS ….MUNSTER… well done Seamus Dennison today you take the fourth prize.

The ever popular Roger Fitzgerald won the front 9

The stalwart Ciaran Smyth won the back 9.

Our smiling Garreth Barry won nearest the pin on 11 th

The above threesome featured strongly on the rugby fields of Ireland.

You might still get a call from FAZ.

Good man Shane Roche, yes the dynasty features again …nearest the pin on the 8 th .  All the way from the Mainland, you should receive a prize for longest drive in addition. Thanks for travelling Shane.

In closing, a word of thanks to TOM DOHENY and his team at Nenagh G. C. A well presented course, tasty breakfast served with a smile and speedily.. Tom tending to many of our needs in good humour.

Great to see Michael Murphy at the course, smiling and greeting all, in his Newcastle West  lilt. We will watch out for you next year MICHAEL.

John Power.
